European kettlebell lifting championship 2016 was held in Poland (Gdynia city) 11-15 May. More then 350 athletes from 24 countries were competing there. A lot of really strong athletes from Russia, Ukraine, Ireland, Norway, Italy. Not only European countries competed there – few guys from USA and Kazakhstan were competing too. First 10 countries of team competition are Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Ireland, Lithuania, Finland, Norway, Italy, Poland, Sweden.
There were many interesting results: Jerk (bw class 85 kg) Gafarov (Russia) -124, Kolomiets (Ukraine) – 123, Sobochan (Slovenia) – 120. Jerk (bw class 95 kg) Pugachev (Russia) – 141, Amodio (Italy) – 120, Balnionis (Lithuania) – 118. Long cycle (bw class 95 kg) Gancharov (Kazakhstan) – 78, Kolyakov (Russia) 85. Ladies snatch (bw class 68 kg) Gorbunova (Russia) – 131, Johnston (Scotland) -125.

The biggest kettlebell event 2016 - World Championships will be 26-30 October in Kazakhstan. They have support from government, it will be really great event!
